Evening All,
The next race in the Kent Grand Prix Series is the Chislehurst Half Marathon. Those of us who ran it last year will remember it fondly for its mixed terrain featuring roads, pavements, fields and trails; and because it measured up a little short. However you may also recall we had a good turnout at this event which allowed us to extend our lead in the championship considerably. So, hopefully an opportunity to score well again if we can put a decent team out.
Entries close on Thursday with the race this coming Sunday (19th May) at 10am.
The current KGP standings have also been updated after Hildenborough. In the men’s we closed the gap to Petts Wood, but only by a meagre 20 points so a reasonable gap still exists. It’s also worth noting Chislehurst is Petts Wood’s home race so we really do need a decent showing to stop this gap growing! As expected Tonbridge scored well at Hildenborough so sit comfortably in second place. In the women’s it is a more positive story with the Harriers moving up to second ahead of Petts Wood (although only just) with Tonbridge extending their lead in first.
