Four Tunbridge Wells Harriers travelled to Worthing on Sunday 7th June to compete in the Worthing 10k. A fast flat course that starts in the very quaint Marine Parade, heads along the seafront for three miles before turning inland, where a rather tight and congested bottleneck, is the only off-putting element of this lovely run. All four Harriers admitted they felt handicapped by the unusually hot running conditions and the lack of sea breeze which in the circumstances would have been more than welcome! Despite the conditions, Andy Boorman and Sonja King produced great performances to both obtain PB’s by over a minute and by nearly 4 minutes respectively, a great achievement for both. Stella Richardson came in 2nd in the FV55 category. Race results: Andy Boorman 45:16, Peter Richardson 45:49, Sonja King 48:30, Stella Richardson 50:28.
