Weekly Parkrun Results – 14/12/24

News

Mud mud mud and more mud, RTW (Dunorlan Park) made a particular splash as the continued rain and cold weather has truly taken its toll on the course. PBs are out of the picture, but on the subject of pictures it was lovely to have our mud correspondent Richard Craig-McFeely on hand to capture all the action.

Parkrun.com also made things fun as always by applying a captcha to mass requests, requiring some serious shenanigans to get Autobob to work again (hence a tardy email today)

Numbers back up a bit this week, with 65 harriers competing and 6 helpers across 16 different parkruns. 5 first timers and absolutely no PBs for a second week in a row.

A big 4 new parkruns this week – Knockanacree Woods (a long way away, in Tipperary), Franschhoek (beautiful South African winelands), Greytown Woodside Trail (Hobbiton) and Severn Bridge (Severn meaning gap, Bridge meaning bridge)

Notable results from our club everything-man Andy Deighton who was first parkrunner in Knockanacree; Ian Grant, Sarah Powell and Paul Eames got yearly best times; and Ali and Liam were fast as usual.

Well done everyone, soon time for Christmas parkrun and how time flies – Autobob’s anniversary is only just over 2 weeks away on the 31st
