As the club is no longer in “business as usual” mode and I know how much you love those Wednesday night routes, we have decided to send a route each week that Harriers might like to do at any time during the course of the week. There won’t be any leaderboards and no one will be checking up on you, but it gives Harriers an excuse to mix their routines up a bit from their usual array of runs.
So as this week’s Routemaster 🚌, fasten your seat belts and here we go ……
This week’s run is a repeat of one John Hepner set for us in May 2017, where we head out to Frant Church followed by a run along Gordon’s Muddy Path for the more adventurous.
The full route is 7.5 miles and the shorter route is 5.4 miles, with an option of even less by running back to the club from Frant Church in reverse.
It’s a mixture of on and off road so best to wear hi vis or something bright. The going should be firm and dry, except for Gordon’s Muddy Path of course, between miles 3 and 4.
I also attach a gpx of when I did it in 2017 which cuts out half a mile of town centre running north of Broadwater Down to make it 6.88 miles.
It’s time to commit !
Any offers for setting routes gratefully received. Some of you have some nice off road routes that you must be desperate to share with other Harriers !
