Greetings Harriers
I’m again this week’s Routemaster, so fasten your seat belts and here we go ……
This week’s run is a repeat of one Terry Everest set for us in November 2010. Terry has had a long, successful and illustrious career in TWH colours. One of his many claims to fame is his completion of all 10 Kent Grand Prix races in 2008 and was instrumental in the club winning the trophy for the first time – he personally scored about 20% of the points the club won that year, culminating in him winning the Cath Hulme and Mike Thurgood trophies that same year. In 2011 he completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge (involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours) and driving between them totally single-handedly and won the Man v Horse trophy for his efforts. The full route is a jot under 7 miles and their are shorter options available. No head torch needed this week.
Current forecast is for dry and cold conditions and you must wear something bright and hi vis.
Smiley Chris/Noel will be behind the bar as usual upstairs after the run with his special brand of humour and the finest beer, wine and soft drinks in the immediate vicinity.
7:30 ish start from the Nevill – its time to commit !
