Ho Ho Ho Harriers,
Here it is , the moment you’ve all been waiting for …. the Xmas Lights Run 2024.
Fantastic route from previous years courtesy of Dave Hadaway and fantastic map courtesy of Casper Morris.
Please wear a flashing light, high viz and all the festive paraphernalia that you can manage.
Bring along a coin or two to donate to the Hospice charity “light house” in Hawkenbury Road.

So, with Hadders as this week’s Routemaster
, fasten your seat belts and let’s go …..we leave down Warwick Park, run around central Tunbridge Wells before heading over to Hawkenbury.
, fasten your seat belts and let’s go …..we leave down Warwick Park, run around central Tunbridge Wells before heading over to Hawkenbury. The route is 5.7 miles (9km) – something for everyone (map and pdf attached).
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright with a head torch a useful accessory in the parks.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a damp and crazy warm 13C.
For those that have signed up, a luxury fish and chip supper will be at King Charles the Martyr Church Hall at the bottom of Warwick Park, with food served from about 8:30.
So, run starts at 6:45, finish by 7:45 or so, quick shower and change at the Nevill and walk/run/drive to the hall from 8:15.
We will provide a small selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks – but if everyone could bring their own glass/cup to drink from, and of course you are welcome to bring your own drinks as well!

Don’t forget TW park run on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day we can meet at the clubhouse at 10am for a social run of about 7 miles ideal for wearing off the excesses of Christmas Day in preparation for round 2. Lots of re-grouping, the now traditional photo at High Rocks and plenty of chat about dodgy Christmas presents! All on road so no need for trail shoes – save them for the mudfest that will be Christmas Day parkrun!
There is also a New Years Day run on 1st Jan
The next regular club run will be on Wed 8th Jan.
6:45 prompt start from the Nevill- change rooms & showers open – it’s time to commit !
