Good day Harriers,
What do you think when you hear the words Grand Slam ?
Darts ?

Maybe not.
Tennis ?

Well perhaps, especially if you are Nicola Morris.
Breakfast ?

Well, its Ok if you’re doing a big run in the next few …… weeks, isn’t it ?
(you know who you are)
Does winning both TWH club XC Champs and Road Champs constitute a grand slam ?
Dunno (Bob ?) and no one managed to do it this year anyway.
Sharon Evans even chose to forgo the Mini Slam of mother’s day breakfast in bed and a Road Champs title – respect !
One thing we can’t deny is that Ireland won the Six Nations yesterday in mighty fine style and hats off to them for another Grans Slam.

(sorry Andrew and Margaret, just jealous)
This week’s run is one set by a Harrier who is definitely grand and can probably slam as good as anyone else, yes you guessed it, the grand dame of F?? running, so good they named a beer after her, always hip and never square, yes our very own Stella Richardson.
So, with our celestial star Stella as this week’s Routemaster
, fasten your seat belts and let’s go ……

Whether you spent too much time enjoying yourself on Mothers Day, recovering from your weekend marathon training run, starting your pre-Brighton marathon taper (wooooo) or just want to run with your friends, there is something for you.
Not only do you get to do the Rusthall loop but you get to run DOWN Sausage Factory Hill, a rare treat indeed.
The long route is 7.5 miles and the short route is 5.3 miles – something for everyone.
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright with a head torch helpful in Rusthall.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a pleasant and dry 9C.
Tea Total Trevor is hosting us in the bar afterwards, selling the finest beer (Harveys), AF lager and ale, wine and soft drinks in the immediate vicinity, at special prices, with crack sidekick and bon viveur, Rocky, so why not relax and have a drink with your friends before you head home.

(please send more photos of Rocky on the back of a postcard to the usual address).
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
