Greetings Harriers,
Missiles raising tensions, climate change raising temperatures and Harry Kane (perhaps) raising expectations.
One thing that hasn’t been raised is the temperature in Tunbridge Wells this week.

This week’s run is a repeat of one that Peter Richardson, long time committee member, set for us back in 2013. Peter has 6 club M60 trophies on and off road and has numerous county medals as well.
So, with Peter as this week’s Routemaster
, fasten your seat belts and here we go ……as we will be exploring the northern region of Tunbridge Wells, reaching High Brooms, before your choice of delightful direct or circuitous return to the club rooms.
The full route is 7.8 miles (12.5km) with a shorter route of 5.6 miles (9km) – something for everyone.
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright/high viz with a head torch an optional accessory.
Our 2 tail runners this week are tbc (short) and tbc (long) – so please step forward ….
Whether you’re training hard, tapering, recovering from your weekend racing, preparing for your next park run or just want to run with your friends, there is something for you.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry and chilly 1C.
Should the weather deteriorate from the current forecast, Operation Carpark Run may be put into action.
There is also a walking group that sets off at the same time. So if you’re injured, tired or tapering come along and walk with friends. Tired of walking on sunshine, this walking group could be for you.

Tea Total Trevor and Rocky host us in the bar afterwards selling the finest beer, AF lager and ale, wine and soft drinks in the vicinity, at special prices, so why not relax and have a drink with friends before you head home.
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
