TWH run – Wednesday 15th June 2022 – Bunny Lane Bimble

News
Greetings Harriers,
The sun is out, the sky is blue and running in shaded woodlands in the evening is for you !
Amazon.com: Bunny Signs
I’m again this week’s Routemaster 🚌, so fasten your seat belts and here we go ……

This week’s run is a repeat of one Adrian Paisey devised for us back in June 2017.

Possibly take a drink and definitely wear a bright top so you stand out on the busy road sections.

The full route is 7 miles with the shorter route 5 miles – something for everyone.
There is plenty of off-road and I’m hopeful that there shouldn’t be too much mud.
It is out via the bottom of Broadwater Down through Hargate Forest and then right into Bunny Lane (be careful on this road).
Turn left on to the A26 (extremely carefully !) and there is a small turn on the right about 400m down through the trees.
Wind your way down to Eridge Rocks (at the bottom of the route) and then through the RSPB car park into Broadwater Forest.
The route eventually takes you on a small road section to High Rocks, shortly afterwards on the right is the trail that follows the train line and stream to the back of Ramslye.
Then
L into Eridge Road
R in the roundabout to Nevill Terrace
L into Linden Park Road
R into Montecutieee (sic) Road
R into Frant Road
L into Rodean Road

R into Warwick Park

The short cut is at Bunny Lane and instead of turning left into the A26, cross the A26 and keep going until you come to the footpath on the right, which puts you back on the main course.

It’s a mixture of on and off road tonight so best to wear hi vis or something bright. The going should be firm and mostly dry,

No head torch will be needed this week.
Current forecast is for a sunny and dry 22C.
Come along and enjoy yourselves. The following week is the Longest Day Run and fingers crossed the summer won’t have finished by then.
The girls from the cricket club will be behind the bar as usual upstairs after the run with the finest beer, wine and soft drinks in the immediate vicinity (at keen prices).

7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – changing rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
