Greetings Harriers,
Not sure you want to run on Wednesday, might try a different sport ?

Nope, running it is !
I’m AWOL this week but I’m sure the run will be in safe hands.
This week’s run is a repeat of one that Allan Cheek set for us back in 2011. Cheeky needs no introduction to club members. He has done much for the club. Prior to becoming a Hub Meister, he was a Social Secretary and Race Director before we had to move him upstairs (don’t tell him) to the job of President for a few years. He even has a very decent marathon time under his belt as well as several club road and XC M50 titles.
He now specializes in events than spend more time inside pubs than running to them.

So, with Cheeky as this week’s Routemaster
, fasten your seat belts and here we go ……as we will be exploring the wild west region of Tunbridge Wells (Rusthall) as well as the village area, before a “scenic” return to the club rooms.

The full route is 6.9 miles with a variety of shorter routes between 4.4 and 6.5 miles – something for everyone.
Map and GPX attached.
WARNING – beware a seemingly harmless mature gent offering to take you for a drink at every hostellery on route.
It might be a scam as it isn’t @realAllanCheek.
This week’s route is not all well lit. Please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright and bring a head torch if you can for Dornden Drive and Cumberland Walk.
Our 2 tail runners this week are tbc (short) and tbc (long) – so please step forward ….
Whether you’re training hard, tapering, recovering from your weekend racing, preparing for your next park run or just want to run with your friends, there is something for you.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry and cooler 7C.
Map and GPX attached.
There is also a walking group that sets off at the same time. So if you’re injured, tired or tapering come along and walk with friends. Tired of getting around in the usual lycra, this walking group could be for you.

Tea Total Trevor and Rocky host us in the bar afterwards selling the finest beer, AF lager and ale, wine and soft drinks in the vicinity, at special prices, so why not relax and have a drink with friends before you head home.
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
