Love in a cold climate ?
Not a problem, so I’m told, back in the 1940s.
Tough however if you’re in an arranged marriage at the Edinburgh Zoo and get sent home for failing to reproduce.
Oh well. Not quite so cold now but we are enjoying braving the off road mud.
Make the most of relaxed running with friends before the Christmas frenzy hits.
This week’s run is a repeat of one that Adam Dennis set for us all the way back in 2020.
So, with Adam as this week’s Routemaster 
, fasten your seat belts and let’s go ……luckily Adam resisted the temptation to take us to the sand dunes of Camber Sands and gives us a route set for the mere mortals (those who haven’t completed Marathon Des Sables). Not sure about Adam’s choice of footwear (no carbon plates in them there crocs).

Instead Adam keeps us largely in central Tunbridge Wells as we tackle the joy of the Rushall Loop and then heading to Southborough borders before a return to the tennis club for a tie break.
The full route is 7.7 miles with a shorter route of 5.3 miles – something for everyone.
With a mere 400ft of climbing its about as flat as your ever going to get on a Wednesday night.
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright with a head torch an optional accessory. (but might be handy on the Rusthall Loop).

Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry but chilly 3C.
The Nevill is closed for repair for several months, so we will continue to utilise the fine facilities of the Nevill Tennis Club next door to us for baggage and post run showers followed by our post-run refreshment. Turnout has been great and we want to keep that going.
So after the run head back to the tennis club – the perfect temporary home for the top seeds of Kent running.
The ideal place to relax and chill unless, of course, you took the wrong route.
7:30 prompt start from the Tennis Club Bar – Tennis Club change rooms and showers are open, then its afters upstairs at the Tennis Club Bar – it’s time to commit !
