TWH run – 30th August 2023 – Back to the pavement

Club Events
Greetings Harriers,

Don’t let the disappearing summer get you down. The sun is setting earlier but there might still be a bit of warmth left in it before it heads down to the southern hemisphere.

If your road shoes are feeling as unloved as a Spanish FA president, then it’s time to dust them off

Don’t be surprised, training and hard work might pay off

and silver isn’t aways bad

This will be the final outing for the many brave men and women of the club who are competing in the Medoc Marathon on Saturday.

This week we have a Simon Howden classic from 2015.

So, with Simon as this week’s Routemaster 🚌, fasten your seat belts and here we go ……

We have a 7.2 mile long route and a short route of 5.1 miles – something for everyone.
There is some off road in the first two miles but road shoes will be fine (just don’t wear your brand new ones).

No head torch will be needed this week but please make sure you are wearing something hi vis.

Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry and warm 17C.

The cricket club crew host us in the bar afterwards selling the finest beer (Harveys), AF lager and ale, wine and soft drinks in the immediate vicinity, at special prices, so why not relax and have a drink with friends before you head home.

7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
