I’m not around this week so there won’t be a Routemaster , so you will need to organise yourselves, so fasten your seat belts and here we go ……
Rather than send you all miles away into the countryside I have devised a route that is never too far from home and that takes in a number of our local parks, including The Nevill, Julian Hewitt Park, Hawkenbury Rec, Dunorlan Park, Calverley Park, The Common, The Grove and then finally home.
Possibly take a drink and definitely wear a bright top so you stand out on the busy road sections.
The full route is 6.9 miles but there so many shortcut options I don’t have space to list them – something for everyone.
No head torch will be needed this week.
Whether you’re training hard, tapering , recovering from your weekend half marathon, or just want to run with your friends, there is something for you.
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright and hi viz.
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry/damp 16C.
Map and GPX attached.
There is also a walking group that sets off at the same time. So, if you’re injured, tired or have lost your coach come along and walk with friends.
The Nevill won’t be back in use for us until 12th June so sadly there is no bag drop, showers, toilets or bar.
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill car park.
No Nevill or Tennis Club.
It’s time to commit !
