Greetings Harriers,
With Christmas and New Year festivities well and truly behind us, we now turn our attention towards Kent Grand Prix redemption. We once again set off to Canterbury this Sunday in our bid to retain the Men’s trophy and regain the Women’s trophy form those pesky ladies from Petts Wood.
Canterbury is a delightful place……
and the delights and tales from Canterbury are many …….
Prepare for your racing this weekend with a run, long or short, this Wednesday with some of Kent’s finest and most charming athletes.
This week’s run is a repeat of one that I set for us all the way back in 2014.
So, with myself as this week’s Routemaster , fasten your seat belts and lets go ……this week’s run is a repeat of one that we have all thoroughly enjoyed in the past, incorporating the delights of Ramslye & Rusthall as well some more traditional parts of Tunbridge Wells.
The full route is 7.3 miles with a shorter route of 5.2 miles – something for everyone.
This week’s route is mostly well lit but please try and stay in groups as much as possible, looking out especially for guests, newer members and wear something bright with a head torch an optional accessory (especially on Langton Rd).
Current forecast for Wednesday is for a dry and rather chilly 1C.
Tea Total Trevor and his trusted helper are hosting us in the bar afterwards, still selling the finest beer (Harveys), wine and soft drinks in the vicinity, at special prices.
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
