Club Record
Ahead of the Brighton Marathon yesterday, club history was made in the 10k race, with the first ever harrier F70 racer.
Margaret Deighton set an inaugural club 10k record of 61:40 picking up 3rd place (of 8) in the F70 age category too.
Race Report
If you fancy a flattish 10k with a big event feel then the race ahead of the marathon at the Brighton Marathon Weekend fits the bill.
It goes off ahead of the marathon, is largely out and back along the seafront but with a detour through the city centre (where there is the only real incline) and finishes at the marathon finish point.
Super well organised, encouraging crowds, bands and (yesterday) sunshine, so highly recommended.
There were three harriers yesterday, Martin Sands running a great PB of 42:56, me, plus Margaret and her club record.
Thanks to Sarah C and Sam B for the early morning support too.
