It is the time of year for the annual Harriers Anniversary Run. This run was initially scheduled for this coming Sunday, however because of XC and Beachy Head taking place on Saturday, the committee have decided to move the run to the following weekend. As the actual anniversary fall mid-week this makes sense and still honours the tradition. We apologise for the late notice of the change.
On Sunday, 31st October 1982, the Tunbridge Wells Runners (former name of the Harriers) held their first-ever internal club race along the old railway track we know today as Forest Way. On the day, 21 runners took part in a five and ten-mile race, which started at the Forest Way Country Park entrance just off the B2110 Withyham Road.
So the new date and time are Sunday 3rd November at 9am. The run will take place as usual along the Forest Way starting at the crossing between Groombridge and Withyham (what3words: pokers.pampered.hurls)
We will again have 5 and 10 mile options for this out and back run. Please note this is a social run and not a race. The event is normally well attended so please come along and join us, wearing club kit if you can.
Hope to see you there!
Regards
