Hi Harriers
Sunshine, cloud and NO rain greeted an elite group of 16 Harriers in Cliffe Woods last Sunday.
The route famously has no cliffs and no roads and is actually around some very pleasant countryside.
Fresh from her North Downs 30 triumph, Tara impressed with her versatility, topping our table and is only a few seconds off the magical 90% threshold.
The Tuesday night crew featured strongly again, taking 5 of our top 10 places (anyone is welcome to come along to the Tonbridge fields at 7pm on a Tuesday)
We had no first time KGP appearances this time but it was a pleasure to see the 2 Andys (Joad and Page) continuing to show plenty of improvement.

Results after the first 8 races are attached.
With 2 events (10K & HM) still to go, there is still plenty to play for.
Jillian and Ali are in a tight tussle for the overall title and with 2 races to go the outcome will be very close.
Or will Tara snatch it on the last day ?
The next event in the Grand Prix is the Larkfield 10k on Sunday 22th September,
This is also the same date as our very own Eridge 10 so you will need to weigh up the options.
“The course is a fast flat 10k on public roads and the Bradbourne Fields Estate (including cycle paths) with the start and finish within the East Malling Research Centre.
The race is also the KCAA short course championship race .”

The club road Grand Prix Trophy is designed to encourage Harriers to race more often, and on equal terms with all other members as the results are adjusted for age and gender. Each race of the ten Kent Grand Prix series counts towards our club road grand prix with a percentage result based on finishing time, age and gender. This percentage is calculated according to the 2015 WAVA scale. The winner is the runner with the best score at the end of the season, that is the average of their best five percentages over the series.
Age graded Percentage guidelines:-
100% Approximate world record level
Above 90% World Class Level
Above 80% National Class Level
Above 70% Regional Class Level
Above 60% Local Class Level
