SEAA Main XC Champs (‘Southerns’) – Sat 28th Jan

Cross Country
Afternoon Harriers
The SEAA Main XC Champs (’Southerns’) will take place this Saturday (28th Jan) at Beckenham Place Park in Beckenham.
Please find attached the final details booklet from the organisers as well as a list of Harriers that have been entered. Directions and race times are listed below.
Please note that the club has paid all the entry fees for this event so if you have entered please make every effort to turn up (barring illness/injury). If you can not make it, please let us know in advance.
We will be there in time to collect race numbers before the Senior Women’s race. Don’t forget to bring some safety pins to attach your number!  Please note that there are no entries on the day (please check the attached entries list to make sure that you have been entered).
It is likely to be muddy so spikes or studded shoes (knobblies) are recommended.
Reminder: all runners must wear club kit (deckchair and dark coloured shorts/leggings) — David Castle has a stock of deckchairs at the Running Hub if you don’t have one, have misplaced yours, or need a new one.
Parking in the streets around the park is limited so please try and share cars where possible from St Johns Sports Centre. If you are able to give other people a lift or need a lift yourself, please post a message in the club Facebook group and arrange individually. If you don’t use Facebook please contact us or someone else who can post a request for you. Alternatively, Beckenham Junction railway station is a short walk from the park (change at Orpington).
N.B. We have been asked not to park in front of the Mansion House in the park.
The post code for the Mansion House in the park is BR3 1SY. We usually park in Foxglove Road near Beckenham Sports Club (the event centre for the Beckenham Relays) and walk round to corner to the park (post code: BR3 5AS).
