SEAA Main XC Champs (‘Southerns’) – 27 Jan – Final Details

Cross Country
Evening Harriers

The SEAA Main XC Champs (’Southerns’) will take place this Saturday (27th Jan) at Beckenham Place Park in Beckenham.

Please find attached the final details booklet from the organisers as well as a list of Harriers that have been entered. Directions and race times are listed below.

Jillian and I will be there early to collect race numbers in time for the Senior Women’s race. Don’t forget to bring some safety pins to attach your number!  Please note that there are no entries on the day (please check the attached entries list to make sure that you have been entered).

The course is suitable for spikes.

Reminder: all runners must wear club kit (deckchair and dark coloured shorts/leggings) — David Castle has a stock of deckchairs at the Running Hub if you don’t have one, have misplaced yours, or need a new one.

LIFT SHARING
Parking in the streets around the park is limited so please try and share cars where possible from St Johns Sports Centre. If you are able to give other people a lift or need a lift yourself, please post a message in the club Facebook group and arrange individually. Alternatively, Beckenham Junction railway station is a short walk from the park.

DIRECTIONS / PARKING
Beckenham Junction railway station is ca. 10 minute walk from Race HQ. If travelling by car, leave the M25 at junction 4 and travel via Bromley. Allow plenty of time as the approach will be busy! There is a charge for parking in the streets in the LB of Lewisham. Street parking to the West and South West of the park in the LB of Bromley is free, where available. In the past we have found free on-street parking in Foxglove Road around Beckenham Sports Club (BR3 5AS).

N.B. Parking outside the Mansion House in the park is not permitted

Note that Beckenham is within the London ULEZ zone. You can check whether your vehicle is compliant on the TFL Website.
