This morning 34 Harriers took part in the Club Road Race Championships (a 50% increase in participation this year) and we were blessed by the rain gods who stayed away until we had finished. We also had the largest Age differential in those taking part with 64 years between youngest and oldest. I should like to thank Nicola, for helping me especially at the finish when I had a stopwatch malfunction and Allan Collard, Martin Brice, Andy Joad and Cheeky for marshalling and Ed Steele for his multi-tasking of marshalling and chief photographer. Not to forget Andy Howey for putting the signage out on the course.
It is also a pleasure to report that a new name will appear on the trophy with Dillon Hobbs leading the field home. The full results are attached.
Special mention for Adam Dennis who came fully prepared in his Marathon de Sables kit for the sand storm and hot weather that has not yet arrived in this country.
