Subject: [TWH – Group] TWH : Heritage Harrier Training Vest available
Since we began to source Harriers training shirts a few years ago, a number of people have asked if we could have a training vest. The challenge was to have something that was clearly connected to the Harriers but that wouldn’t be confused with our official club colours, our blue and yellow deckchair race vest.Well now we have a solution – the Harriers Heritage Training Vest. There was a forerunner to our current club founded in 1885 – the Tunbridge Wells Harriers – who existed into the early 20th century and whose colours were red and white hoops – as referenced on the board in our clubhouse. So we’ve created a Heritage training vest that is a homage to the earlier Harriers that current members can wear for training and social runs (BUT not for representing the club in races). The vests are by Ron Hill and are available in both men’s and women’s sizes XS to XL and are £18.85 each (the club are providing a small subsidy to the full cost)Most likely this will be a one off opportunity to get this Heritage training vest, so if you want to order one, please let me know by email to adeigh@icloud.com with the gender and size, then please make payment of £18.85 per vest into the club bank account (name Tunbridge Wells Harriers sort code 30-95-74 account number 50902460), with your surname as reference.Deadline for orders is Wednesday 28th August. Thanks[Abit of history…..The South of the Thames Cross Country Championship Race, which we continue to take part in, was won by Tunbridge Wells Harriers in four consecutive years between 1891-1894, so this years race will be the 130th anniversary since our last victory!]CheersAndrew DeightonTWH Kit Manager
