On Sunday 2 Harriers headed up to Dartford for the long-established half. Parking was free and nice and easy,
The start is a bit of a bottleneck, the course, in my opinion, is pretty hilly and extremely boring and certainly not scenic.
There is a particularly nasty incline at 10 miles. On the plus side, the marshalling was superb with a pretty nice medal.
For comparison, I placed in the Tunbridge Wells half in a very easy 2hr 7mins. Dartford was ‘a nothing left’ 2hr 9min.
The winner was Joshua Reece in 1hr 11min 33sec of Central Park Athletic (he obviously didn’t want to be on the course any longer than he had to be as well)
1st female was Stephane Hutton in 1hr 23min 12sec, with no club attachment.
Harriers:
Juliet Barry 2.20.30
Me 2.09.31
