Marathon Training Runs are Back This Sunday!

News

Evening Harriers,

With lots of Spring marathons taking place, we are bringing back our usual 18/13 mile training runs, which depart from the car park of the Camden Arms in Pembury.

  • Run 1: Sunday 5 February
  • Run 2: Sunday 26 February
  • Run 3 Sunday 5 March

We depart from the car park at 8.00 am sharp, so please arrive by 7.50 am for a briefing.

There are two routes, 18 miles or 13 miles, with drinks stations at 5.5  11.5 and 15.5 miles with water and sports drinks. (5.5 and 11.5 for the 13 miles route).

Please wear a hi-viz top as the run is mainly on country lanes with a few sections on ‘B’ roads.

Everyone is welcome; you don’t have to be marathon training –  it’s a lovely route for a Sunday morning road run. There are no formal pace groups, but small groups of similar-paced runners tend to form.

Directions and maps can be found below, but I’ll also print out some directions/maps and make available on the morning.

If you have any questions, please let me know, and we look forward to seeing everyone for our first run this Sunday.

Regards,

Craig Chapman
