Marathon Training Information


With London Marathon taking place on Sunday 2 October we are bringing back our usual 18/13 mile training runs which depart from the car park of the Camden Arms in Pembury.

A lot is going on already so hopefully, the following dates will work for you…

  • Run 1: Sunday 17 July CANCELLED
  • Run 2: Sunday 14 August
  • Run 3 Sunday 4 September

We depart from the car park at 8.00 am sharp, so please arrive by 7.50 am for a briefing.

There are 2 routes, 18 miles or 13 miles with drinks stations at 5.5  11.5 and 15.5 miles with water and sports drinks. (5.5 and 11.5 for the 13 miles route).

Please wear a hi-viz top as the run is mainly on country lanes with a few sections on ‘B’ roads.

Everyone is welcome; you don’t have to be marathon training –  it’s a very nice route for a Sunday morning road run. There are no formal pace groups but small groups of similar-paced runners tend to form.
