Harriers,

After our last outing in 2019, it is time again to return to the Paulliac region to run the greatest* marathon in the world.

I’ve no doubt caught most people to tell them about it at one point or another, otherwise see me at the club to find out more
Its the only marathon in the world where you will, while in fancy dress, run a marathon through some of the greatest vineyards in the world whilst consuming around 2 bottles of their wine across 23 wine stations along with cheese, oysters, steak, ice cream and other delicacies.
Think of it as the GTE scaled up a bit (evident in photo below)

Dates I’m planning this year are Friday 1st September to Monday 4th September, with the race on the Saturday

The only problem is getting entered to such a prestigious (and popular) event
The organisers use an interesting system whereby they give you a vague idea when entries will open, then just randomly open them at some point around that period.

The entries will open any day from 1st March onwards, they usually only last for a few hours before filling up
If you want to be signed up to be notified the second the entries open, then please enter your details here

Note – there is a second, more expensive, registration that opens a week or two after the initial ballot.

I have a document full of information on getting there/car hire/schedule that I’ll share with those that sign up
