Lydd 20/half

Reports

So Lydd 20, it’s a spring marathon training ground. This is the 3rd time I have run this and I was watching the weather hopeful we weren’t going to have the same 50mph winds like last year! However the weather gods weren’t with us and winds were high, only 30-40mph, but luckily the rain held off. For most of the race.

Lydd run a half at the same time as the 20, with the half splitting off after 6miles. It’s a fairly flat out and back route around the most notable traffic cone at mile 10. It’s open to the elements and this was most notable on the last 3miles back. There were a couple of huge puddles at 500mtrs past start and 3miles which you had to go through on both legs and in both races.

So the results, apologise I am unsure if everyone’s results were a PB. Joy and mine were PB’s and I have apparently broken Sian Roberts club record! 🥳 But well done to everyone who run today, was definitely character building lol 😂

Well done to Nicola Morris who got first V45 in the half.

And big thanks to Dave aka Hadders for getting me though the last 2miles.
