The fourth Kent XC League race will take place this Saturday at Swanley Park, Swanley. Please note that there is no Senior Men’s (under 70) race at this meeting. This is also the last League race for our SuperVets.
Please find attached a course map as well as a list of TWH entries. Directions and race times are listed below.
Jillian will be there early and has all the uncollected race numbers from previous races. Don’t forget to bring some safety pins to attach your number! Please note that there are no entries on the day (please check the attached entries list to make sure that you have been entered).
If you have run at any of the previous League events, don’t forget to bring your Kent XC League race number — replacements cost £5!
The course is suitable for spikes. The majority of the course is good grassland, but there are stretches of fairly soft surfaced paths, and some areas of tree roots that will be marked and flagged.
Reminder: all runners must wear club kit (deckchair and dark coloured shorts/leggings) — David Castle has a stock of deckchairs at the Running Hub if you don’t have one, have misplaced yours, or need a new one.
Please try and share cars where possible from St Johns Sports Centre. If you are able to give other people a lift or need a lift yourself, please post a message in the club Facebook group or the Women’s XC WhatsApp group and arrange individually. If you don’t use either of these please contact someone else who can post a request for you.
From M25 J3 (Swanley) follow B2173 into/through Swanley town centre (busy). At Asda mini roundabout turn right onto B258. After about 1 mile, turn left into New Barn Road (narrow lane). Post code of Swanley Park Cafe is BR8 7PW (keep going along New Barn Road from here until you reach Lower Car Park)
Note both car parks (main and overflow) have machines for coin and contactless card payments and both have the ability to pay by App (Phone and Pay). Cost is £3.50. There is also some on street parking and a small car park which can be accessed via The Birches BR8 7YL.
If you volunteered to marshal, please report to Race HQ (in the KCAA tent near the finish) at 11:30 and ask for Anoushka Johnson, the volunteer coordinator. The first race of the day is at 12:00.
