The 3rd KXCL fixture is this Saturday at Sparrows Den in West Wickham, hosted by Blackheath and Bromley.

The course has changed from last year but is still 3 laps covering a loop of a muddy field and a technical ascent and descent within a thickly wooded area. From the instructions it sounds like the woods will be after the initial sprint and we’ll end up with a lap of the field before heading back to the finish line (so its woods/field/woods/field/woods/field), this is the reverse of last year and its being done to prevent clashes between the front and back runners.

I expect it’ll be muddy, but every time I’ve worn spikes here its been my undoing in the woods due to the rocky terrain, I’d recommend mudclaws or similar instead.
