Jeskyns Wood 10k

Reports

On Saturday I was the only Harrier to attend the latest instalment of the Forestry 100 Running Series at Jeskyns Woodland, on the outskirts of Gravesend.

Forestry England have put on a series of woodland runs throughout the year to celebrate their 100 years. This event was organised jointly with Nice Work. It was a 10k trail race through some lovely woodland and park areas. A fair bit of mud but relatively flat over the three laps of the course. At the end, presented with a unique and nice looking wooden medal. A well organised and marshalled low key event. Not sure if it will repeat but I would recommend Jeskyns as a lovely place for a run if you ever find yourself in the area.

142 completed the race:
1 Richard Foster, Kent AC, 39.43
2 Liz Weeks, Tonbridge AC, 42.13
13 Matthew Newman, Tunbridge Wells Harriers, 48.49
