Club Trip : Bushy Park parkrun

Club Events

Next Saturday (26th August) we are having a club trip to Bushy Park parkrun – the original parkrun location,  near Hampton Court.

It’s a fantastic experience, with a cross-country style wide start and typically well over 1000 participants on a lovely single-lap course.

There is a small cafe at the Diana Fountain Car Park (not the main Pheasantry Cafe) so suggest we meet up there, then head over together to the start at around 8.45am.

It pays to get there early and is about an hour’s drive.

Post-run coffee and breakfast are available from both cafe locations, or you could bring a picnic rug and your own provisions if you are staying around afterwards.

If you plan on coming along, there won’t be traditional car share and many of you will already have regular travel groups.

If not, please post on the club Facebook page if you’re driving & have space for others, or post if you’re looking for a lift and then hopefully people can match themselves up to get there.

Hope we have a good turnout – it’s definitely a tick on the running ‘bucket list’ !

Cheers

Travel Instructions are below.

There are two entrances to Bushy Park. If using SATNAV, the nearest postcode to the start is KT8 9DD. This will bring you to Hampton Court Gate, the nearest gate to the start of parkrun. There is parking available here in the Diana Fountain car park, however, this is usually full by 8.30.

There is no longer any access to other car parks within Bushy Park from this entrance.

The other entrance to the park is at the Teddington end of Chestnut Avenue, the postcode is TW11 0BS. This will give you access to the Pheasantry car park which is about a ten-minute walk to the start and finish area.
