Sunday 15th January – Club Road Champs (5.5 miles) – 9.30am
This morning 18 Harriers braved the wet conditions to run the 2016 Club Championship Road Race that had been postponed from last December. The icy underfoot conditions that had been predicted did not materialise as the Harriers made their way around the 5.4 mile course that has remained unchanged since the first running of the event over thirty years ago.
There were wins for Sam Begg and Harriet Woolley for the Mens & Ladies titles and subject to ratification the provisional results are attached.
Thanks should also go to Allan Cheek, Simon Howden, Andy Howey, & Mike Jarvis who marked out the course, marshalled and assisted with time keeping etc.
What a pity that more Harriers & Harriettes didn’t turn out for their own race.
