Another weekend, more club records!
Saturday saw Emily Nash venture to Leicester for the Podium Festival 5k race.
Already the Senior Women record holder from 2023 with an existing time of 18:50, Emily smashed that to become the first harrier women under 18 minutes, with a fantastic time of 17:57…..and on her birthday too!
After finishing third women at the Lydd 20 last week, setting a new SW record in the process, Amelie Karlsson was selected to represent Kent, as part of an inter counties match at the Essex 20 race yesterday.
She further improved her own club record with a time of 2:14:52 and was second scorer for Kent, who took bronze in the inter county event.
Brilliant running from both Emily and Amelie!
……and a plea to all members, please.
We are fortunate to have an enviable club archive of all races run by members over the last 40+ years and it is something every current member has a responsibility to help us maintain.
Please, if you run a race and decide not to write a race report, email me (adeigh@icloud.com) with just the race details and your chip time, so we can maintain the records for the club. Alex and I can eventually pick up any races from Power of 10, so it is any races that don’t feature in your personal Po10 account that we’d like to be notified about please.
