Subject: KGP Update & Chislehurst Half Marathon
The next event in the Kent Grand Prix is fast approaching – The Chislehurst Half Marathon on Sunday 21st May. Like a few others in the road race series this year, this race is predominantly off road on trails but this one is relatively flat and scenic. I am aware quite a few Harriers have entered already but it would be good to have some more of you to help build on the strong start we have made to the championships so far! Entries close on 17th May and it is filling up so please sign up soon!
The race takes place in South London near Bromley & Orpington, so car sharing is suggested. The race starts at 10am so please meet in the usual spot at the sports centre car park at 8am.
As mentioned we have made a good start to the road race series this season. Following the last event at the Folkstone 10, the men’s team have extended their lead to an impressive position over 500 points clear. The ladies team have now moved up into first position and sit ahead of Orpington. A good showing at Chislehurst will help both teams and we should expect Orpington to be there in numbers as it is on their doorstep!
