Greetings Harriers,
Now that people have (mostly) returned from life on the piste it’s almost time for a reset.
This will be our last run setting off in the dark, as the clocks go forward this coming Sunday.
It isn’t the biggest marathon Spring we have ever had, as London is again in the autumn. There is a small elite contingent heading down to Brighton in 3 weeks (Steve Wellstead, Nick Pierce, Brenda Purse, myself, any others ?)
I’m again this week’s Routemaster , so fasten your seat belts and here we go ……
This week’s run is a repeat of a Phil Long special from 2014, with more delights and options than the middle aisle of Lidl.
We have a main 7.5 mile long route and shorter route options of 6.8. 6.0 or 5.3 miles. Phil has also very kindly included some extra 1.0 and 0.7 mile loops for the very keen – something for everyone.
No head torch will be needed this week.
Current forecast is for a pleasant 9C (down from a blistering 15C earlier in the day).
You must wear something bright and hi vis.
Smiley Chris will be behind the bar as usual upstairs after the run with his special brand of humour and the finest beer (Harveys), wine and soft drinks in the immediate vicinity. (Thanks to Simon & Carol for their polished bar work last week).
7:30 prompt start from the Nevill – change rooms, showers and bar all open – it’s time to commit !
