25 years ago at the Beachy Head Marathon

News

Taking another look back into the club racing archives of 25 years ago, I found the TWH results from the Beachy Head Marathon of 1999.

Then known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, there were co-incidentally 7 harriers taking part on 30th October 1999, with most being current or recent members.

Mark Taylor (then M45) was first home in 3:25, followed by Jonathan Rickards (M45) in 4:30, Bryon ‘Spud’ Taylor (M55) in 5:06, Graham Brooks (M65) in 5:26, Bob Lawrence (M50) and Lizzie Laury (F45) in 6:07 and Carole Dyke (6:55).

So everyone running for the club in this years race is following in the steps of many TW Runners/Harriers who have gone before.

Good Luck on Saturday!
