I have the bus this week so will be throwing a little curve ball.
Mid run I have arranged a stop at the Underground Gym on Longfield Road (next to Topps Tiles) where they have kindly agreed to let us use their Parkour/Ninja Warrior course. Not as scary as it sounds, we will essentially be swinging across a pit using various paraphernalia and then attempting a run up the curved wall. One of the Parkour instructors will be there should you need any tips about the fastest or easiest route across. Will anyone make it to the top?
Now obviously Harrier insurance does not indemnify us for such activity, so there will be a couple of forms to fill in at the club in order to get a waiver from the Gym. There are also forms available at the Gym but it will be quicker to complete these prior to the run where possible.
As there are some paths on route a head torch is advisable.
There is the option to run the whole of Sandhurst road and reduce the short route to 5.4 miles, missing out the Ninja Warrior element, but what fun is that?
