In short: Great course and great organisation
In full: The pre-race pack was excellent with all the info required. Chip timing is a good bonus. Plenty of marshals (all friendly). Good facilities at the start/finish and a gorgeous course.
In short: Fantastic!
In full: One of the best Halfs I've been to, will be back next year for sure, thanks to the Harriers for a great event!
In short: Always full of Surprises
In full: Brilliant course, nice to jog around and enjoy the scenery or great to attack and punish the hills! Fantastic organisation and atmosphere, looking forward to running it again next year!
In short: Brilliantly organised from start to finish
In full: Thank you to TW Harriers, all the volunteers, the St John's Ambulance, the police, the spectators and all the runners for making this an occasion to remember
In full: This course is fairly hard with some challenging hills but the scenery is great in parts and the marshals and support were encouraging. Great to see Kelly Holmes at the start and the fruit and goody bag at the finish made it well worth turning up for. I would do this again.
In short: Top Race, Well done TW Harriers. Great goody bag
In full: Very fast first 5 miles then the Hill which was not too bad, fast last mile to finish. Really good value for money race. Organizers have to be congratulated as do the marshals and water stations. 250 mile round trip to do this race and glad we did.
In short: Very enjoyable, slick organisation
In full: Well done Tunbridge Wells Harriers! I was really impressed with the pre-race info booklet, giving me all the info I needed to plan my race properly. The race itself was just as well organised, with loads of fab marshals. And Dame Kelly was the icing on the cake!
In short: Fantastic event
In full: My first Half Marathon, and a thoroughly enjoyable experience; thanks and congrats to the TW Harriers for putting on such a great race. The organisation was outstanding, the info booklet really helpful with course profile and route description, and all the marshals, water stations etc were brilliant. Dame Kelly Holmes at the start, and fruit at the finish - couldn't ask for more!! The hills were long, but I feel I've achieved something. Have been buzzing since I crossed the finish.
In short: What a race!
In full: This year's TW half marathon was definitely the best ever in my opinion. Very well organised event with the usual fantastic route and plenty of helpful marshals along the course. The medal celebrating the 25th anniversary of this race will forever remind me of a superb event. Thank you.
In short: Superb race, wonderful organisation and support.
In full: This race will live your expectations. Great scenery of Kent countryside, nice atmosphere with crowds cheering you through the villages. Its a total value for money and fantastic goody bag. Achieved a PB this course. I personally found the major hill not too bad and thoroughly enjoyed the race.
In short: Nice course, hills not too bad and great goodie bag!
In full: A nice scenic course and it was actually quite quick, I thought the hilly parts were over quite quickly and had been expecting worse. The marshals were really good and the goodie bag was great, medal, t-shirt, food and free stuff, oh and the fruit was a nice touch - one of my new favourite races.
In short: Best value race ever?!
In full: First time for me, and loved every minute of it. The hill just after halfway is brutal - not that steep but goes on and on and on. Toughest thing I've done since Box Hill. But the scenery is great, and the police did a great job with traffic control. Fabulous crowd support (especially at the top of the hill!); chip timing; accurate mile markers; and possibly the best goody bag ever, given the entrance fee. Glorious weather just added to a glorious occasion.
In short: Superb race that gets better and better each year
In full: Even with the hill at Fordcombe I still love this race. Great organisation, friendly marshals and some nice support on route. Goody bag at the end was great as was medal and T-Shirt! Thanks TW - see you next year
