"An extremely well organised event, glorious scenery and yes, some hills making part of the challenge. The marshalling was the best I have expereinced to date and well placed water stations. I was uplifted with the Tunbridge Wells community who applauded us along the way. Congratulations to organisers and Tunbridge Wells! I'll be back next year!"
"Possibly one of the best half marathons in the country. Well done TWH - a reference for how a race should be.Challenging course although has very strong PB potential. Kelly Holmes was very charming and a real bonus."
"Can't fault it: good, scenic route, well marshalled, plenty of water, good facilities at race HQ etc etc Very well done to Tunbridge Wells Harriers for a great event!
Atmosphere: Extra point for Dame Kelly. Good crowd support, especially at the top of Spring Hill and a genuine "big race" feel.
Organisation: Top marks.Plenty of toilets, loads of efficient marshalls and water stations. Exceptionally well organised at the start-pens in 5 minute time bands worked very well, plus chip timing that actually worked and results within 1 hour of the finish.
Value: Great medal and the standard of organisation and attention to detail meant we got full value for our money.
Beginner-friendliness: Plenty of support for the slower runners and the size of the field means you'll never be on your own. Great choice for beginners,as long as you've put in the training - it's not a course to be taken lightly.
Overall: Great half marathon. Very varied,well-organised and challenging but with a real chance of a quick time."
