Thanet Marathon (Kent Champs and Kent Grand Prix)

9 DECKCHAIRS took part in the Kent Coastal Marathon on Sunday September 5th, 7 men and 2 women. This was, by Derek’s reckoning, our best turnout ever at this event.
 
Mike Thomson was first Harrier home in 3.30, after, in his words, a disappointing run! He was closely followed by Derek Harrison, finishing in 3.33, and Shaun Carey in 3.38.

1st lady Harrier home was Ana Maria Green in 4.27, followed by June Wong, in only her 2nd marathon and using Thanet as a training run for Beachy Head in October, in a great time of 4.49.

First man was Anthony Jackson of Sittingbourne Striders in a time of 2.48 & 1st lady, in 5th place overall, was Charlotte Collyer (unattached) in 3.04.
