Penshurst Cross Country Run

Harriers' vests were out in force in the 5 mile Penshurst Cross Country Run. The race was run in bright sunshine and sub-zero temperatures over a rock hard frozen course, making for the fastest running conditions since the 101 year old race was resurrected in 2000.

Andy Howey finished as first over 40 in 3rd place overall behind winner Scott Richardson, in a time of 29:52. Next to finish for the club over the hilly one lap farm and woodland course were 5th Mark Taylor 32:18, 6th Chris Smith 32:42, 10th Gareth Bowart 34:45, 13th Derek Harrison 35:33, 17th Steve Woodruffe 36:31, 23rd Duncan Stacey 37:09, 29th Paul Eames 39:20, 33rd Becky Shorter 39:38 (2nd woman), 38th John Johnson 40:36, 51st Phil Long 43:38, 58th Pete Gander 46:20, and 77th Bryon 'Spud' Taylor.
