Club Cross Country Championship 2007

Race date:
17 March 2007

The club cross country championships were held on Saturday morning over our course in Hargate Forest (see the Cross Country Championship page for details). The conditions were excellent, with the going good to soft (very soft in the usual places) and the weather pleasantly mild.

The results of the race are attached. Thanks to everyone that turned out to run - the best turn-out since the 'Mark Taylor' inter-club against Crowborough AC. Two guest runners from TW & Langton AC joined us, with Guy Gracey winning a sprint with their club secretary Stuart, and young Nathan acquitting himself well after a fast start. The salvers for the winners in the age categories were presented at the Club Dinner at the Royal Wells that evening.

Many thanks to Lizzie and Cheeky for taking on timekeeping and machete duty, and for managing to get a number of split times as well as the finishing times (apologies if yours were missed). Also thanks to Pete Burns and Guy Gracey for staying on to help clear the course markers afterwards.
