Well done to everyone who competed in the Canterbury Half today. The hot sunshine, light breeze and hilly course meant that times were not going to be pbs.
We had a team of 3 women start the race with Lucille Joannes, Sarah Russell (on the back of a 100 mile cycle training run yesterday) and new member Charlotte Cross. Unfortunately only 2 finished after Sarah selflessly abandoned the race in order to attend to a collapsed runner. We understand the runner was ok, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
Quote of the day, "It was so hot I couldn't be bothered to run any faster" - Terry Everest (1.25).
