Deckchairs Galore bring back prizes from Tonbridge!
A massive 42 Harriers (30 men and 12 ladies) ran the 4th Tonbridge Half Marathon, a challenging and undulating out and back course in brilliant and warm sunshine this morning, a tad warmer than last year L. This was the penultimate Kent Grand Prix race of 2014, incorporating the Kent Champs, with just the 10K race at Ashford to go. No real chances of winning, but there’s great potential of coming second overall in both the men and ladies teams. It was also great to see so many new Harrier faces joining the regular/usual runners this morning, and I look forward to seeing you at future events.
1,001 runners completed the course with Julian Rendall (Tonbridge) the winner in 1:14:08 and the first lady was Maria Heslop (Paddock Wood) in 1:22:46.
