Kent Veteran's Cross Country Championships - FINAL DETAILS

Final event details for club members and competitors

MudThe Kent Veteran's Cross Country Championships will take place in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday 12th December 2009, hosted by Tunbridge Wells Harriers on behalf of the KCAA. The race headquarters will be at Rose Hill School, Coniston Avenue, TN4 9SY.

Parking will only be available at the school for race officials and marshals. Competitors should park in the surrounding residential area and make their way to the school on foot - please park with consideration for the residents.

The course (please download a map) is woodland and playing fields, and is suitable for spikes - there are no hard surfaced paths. The race lengths are 4.8km (two laps), and 9.0km (four laps), and use the grounds of Rose Hill School for the start and finish only. The main laps are in the grounds of Bennett Memorial School and Hurst Wood.

Refreshments will be available at the race HQ, and there will be full changing, toilet and showering facilities.

Please note that our club president Allan Cheek will be opening his new shop 'The Running Hub' in Southborough on the day of the event, the location being only a few yards from the start line of our Half Marathon. All club members (and competitors on presentation of a race number) will be eligible for a 10% discount. Why not pop in on your way home for some Christmas shopping?
