Important information for half marathon entrants travelling from London by train

The Children's Mutual Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon starts at 9.30am on 15th February.

Please note that the earliest train from London to get into Tunbridge Wells arrives on 15th February at 9:07. Unfortunately, its unlikely that this will give you enough time to get to the race for the 9.30 start.

The first train to Tonbridge (3.5 miles away) leaves at 7:10, and gets in at 8:39. Please check National Rail Enquiries for latest details at www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Buses are operated by Arriva and details of services can be found at www.traveline.info.

The start time has been changed to 9.30am this year following recommendation from the Police, to avoid the high volume of lunchtime traffic and to improve safety for runners. It was not a decision we took lightly and we realised that it could cause a problem for those of you coming from London by train.

Alternatively, please consider car sharing and look at the forum on www.runnersworld.co.uk. Other runners who post on the forums may be travelling by car and are often happy to provide lifts.
