Here are the end of the 2010/2011 season results for the Kent Cross Country League.
Women's Team
The women's league was topped by Blackheath and Bromley AC, followed by Medway & Maidstone AC in second place and Tonbridge AC in third. We came joint 6th (with Invicta) out of 12 clubs competing with a full team turning out for all of the races.
Men's Team
The men's league (4 to score) was won by Tonbridge AC, followed by Medway & Maidstone in second, and Blackheath and Bromley in third. We came 5th place out of 17 clubs competing.
In the men's league (12 to score) we came third, and rather impressively were the only club to get a men's team of at least 12 out to all four fixtures.
Individual Results
In the individual league tables (under which runners get points based on the number of races they run in and their positions for their age categories) our top male runner was Daryl Palfry (18th overall), followed by Mike Russell (21st) and Simon Whitaker (38th).
Our top female runner was Sian Roberts (11th overall), followed by Pru Clements (20th) and Tara Taylor (48th).
Daryl and Sian are the proud winners of the XC King and Queen seasonal chocolate award (an easter egg each - much more exciting than a silver shield!) which will be presented at the club next week.
Full results can be found on the Kent Athletics website.
Thank you very much to everyone who got involved this season and well done to all the mud runners.
