Dame Kelly Holmes to start TW half marathon

Tunbridge Wells Harriers are delighted to announce that Dame Kelly Holmes be the official starter for the 24th Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon.
The 800m and 1,500m Olympic champion will sound the starter’s hooter at 10am on Sunday February 25th for the annual 13mile race. It’s hoped that Dame Kelly’s presence will give an extra boost to the event which over the past 20 years has raised many thousands of pounds for local charities including the Hospice In The Weald where she is also a Patron.
We are particularly pleased that Dame Kelly has agreed to support the event. As a local girl who started her athletics career with neighbouring club Tonbridge AC she has provided a constant source of inspiration for runners in the area.
