Club run at the Nevill tonight Wednesday 13th January is ON

The club run at the Nevill is ON tonight.

There have been some requests to have another guided headtorch run through Broadwater Forest as we did last Friday, and we could also run around town as we did last Wednesday. We will make a decision on arrival at the clubhouse based on the number of attendees and state of the pavements.

At the moment, the pavements are clear of ice, and there is freshly fallen snow to provide some traction. Please wear suitable footwear - cross country shoes such as trail shoes or fell shoes are not just recommended but probably essential. Please also bring a head torch in case we decide on the Broadwater option.

We will endeavour to run in no more than a couple of groups, so no one will be running on their own. Whichever option we decide on, the run will not be a training run, but will instead be an easy jog as last week. As with all of our club runs, you are responsible for your own safety, so please don't come along unless you're confident about running in such conditions.

Hopefully, Olga will also be there to open the bar, so if you don't fancy a jog in the snow, come along for a warming drink later. If we are forced to decamp to a local hostelry, we'll leave a note on the Nevill door! Soup with bread will be available as usual.
